1466418 Polymerized fatty acids or esters VICTOR WOLF Ltd 23 Oct 1975 [25 Oct 1974] 46172/74 Heading C2C Conjugated trienoic fatty acids or esters, e.g. eleostearic, punicic and licanic acids are polymerized by contacting with an acid activated or neutral clay, at a temperature in the range 50‹ to 150‹ C. The trienoic compounds may be admixed with di- or monoenoic compounds. Examples describe the polymerization of tung and oiticica oil methyl esters.
