1466262 Automatic control systems BESTEL DEAN Ltd 6 March 1974 [17 March 1973] 12952/73 Heading G3R The difference between a measured variable e.g. flow of water through a sluice and a desired value for the variable is added to a separately generated triangular waveform of the shape shown thereby shifting its datum, any part of the shifted waveform that lies outside a predetermined range (e.g. +V and -V) being used to produce a control signal to correct the measured variable. The control signal varies in proportion to the triangular waveform during the time that it is outside the predetermined range.
