Abstract
1466175 Transferring bottles; discharging conveyers STORK AMSTERDAM BV 22 April 1974 [30 April 1973] 17434/74 Headings B8C and B8A An apparatus for lifting, transferring and depositing bottles 6 comprises a carrier 5 for the bottles which is guided by a guide 11 having vertical portions (12, 13) Fig. 3, (not shown), and a curved intermediate portion 11a, and a piston and cylinder assembly 21, 22 whose reciprocable motion is converted into rotary motion for moving the carrier 5 from one end of the guide 11 to the other end and back again. The piston-rod of the piston and cylinder assembly is connected to a chain 19 which passes about a sprocket (17), Fig. 2 (not shown), mounted on a shaft 16 carrying a link 15 which is pivotally connected to a further link 10 which in turn is pivotally connected to the carrier 5. The operation of the piston and cylinder assembly 21, 22 is controlled by cams 23, 24 which are mounted on the shaft 16 and co-operate with a valve. The shaft 16 is rotated faster in one direction than the other. The carrier is maintained at a fixed orientation by chains which pass around sprockets centred on the pivot points 9, 14, 16.
