Abstract

1465639 Shuttering for a parapet wall SOC ANON DITE ETABS OUTINORD SA 28 June 1974 [20 Aug 1973] 28737/74 Heading E1S Shuttering for casting a parapet wall 1 on the edge of a floor slab 2 in a building, comprises mould elements 5, 6, 7, 8 supported by a plurality of brackets 9, each of which is pivotally attached at 32 to a prop 10 jammed between the floor slab 2 and the next slab 4 above; the bracket 9 being in the form of a right-angled triangular frame, of which the upright side 12 supports an inner mould element 5, and the hypotenuse 14 is extended past the upright 12 and outwardly of the building, and supports outer mould elements 6, 7, 8; and means being provided for the vertical and horizontal adjustment of each bracket 9. The outer mould elements 6, 7, 8 are carried by a right-angled support member 16 which is pivotally mounted at 15 on the end of the hypotenuse 14 of the bracket 9, whereby the outer mould elements may be swung away from the cast wall 1 for removal of the shuttering, (see Fig. 3, not shown), such movement being facilitated by operation of a winch 20 mounted on the bracket 9 and winding a cable 21 connected to the inwardlyextending arm 19 of the support member 16. The outer mould element 8, as shown, is pivotally mounted on the element 7, for swing- ing away on removal. The vertical adjustment means is a screw adjacent the base of the mould element 5, and the horizontal adjustment means is a screw 38 bearing on a yoke which is fixed to the bracket 9 and slidable on the pivot 32.
