Abstract

1465473 Transfers S O BIDDULPH 15 Feb 1974 [15 Feb 1973 13 March 1973] 7529/73 and 11892/73 Heading B6C [Also in Division G5] A transfer character sheet 10 consists of upper and lower mounts 11, 12 removably covering the adhesive backing of a character 15, the lower edge of mount 12 being provided with registration notches, perforations or slits 16, 17 which may be aligned with corresponding notches on adjacent sheets 10 in setting up a sign. Receptor sheet 21 is first marked with a base line 20 on which mounts 12 are set before the upper mount 11 is removed to allow adhesion of the top of characters 15. When all characters are correctly registered, the lower mount 12 is removed. Alternatively, the sign may be built up with the mounts attached and releasably secured to an adhesive tape for transfer as a unit to a receptor surface.
