1465403 Removing rings from a mandrel HEPWORTH CERAMIC HOLDINGS Ltd 10 Jan 1975 [17 Jan 1974] 02209/74 Heading B5A A plurality of elastomeric or plastics rings 5 injection or compression moulded in moulds 1, 2 on a heated mandrel 4, are removed from the mandrel by a plurality of continuously driven endless belts 3. The belts 3 are radially closed on to the rings 5, or frictionally engage them while being moved axially by a supporting frame 6. The rings can be synthetic rubber pipe joint sealing rings.
