1286068 Moulding annular rubber articles UKRAINSKY NAUCHNO-ISSLEDOVATELSKY I KONSTRUKTORSKY INSTITUT PO RAZRABOTKE MASHIN OBORUDOVANIA DLYA PERERABOTKI PLASTICHESKIKH MASS REZINY I ISSKUSTVENNOI KOZHI 19 Aug 1970 40036/70 Heading B5A Apparatus for moulding and vulcanizing annular rubber articles, e.g. V-belts and tyre tread rings, comprises a segmented drum 10 receiving the articles 14 thereabout and a plurality of heatable article compressing segments 4 which are moved radially by an annular frame 7 to which the segments are connected by pivoted arms 6. The frame is driven vertically by hydraulic cylinders 8 and is guided by columns 9; the segments 4 are guided horizontally by rods 3 engaging sleeves 2. The drum segments are radially movable and, together with the segments 4, have cavities for heated fluid or other heating means. The articles are received by a stack of rings 13.
