Abstract

1465388 Printing CIBA-GEIGY AG 20 Aug 1974 [22 Aug 1973] 36575/74 Heading B6C [Also in Divisions D1 and A5] Webs are transfer printed by passing the web 1 to be printed together with a carrier web 3 over a heated cylinder 8 at a temp. of 80-220‹ C. and a suction cylinder 9 in series, additional heating being provided at 11. Several heating and suction cycles may be used (see Fig. 2 (not shown)), the heating cycle comprising one or more heating cylinders. Several layers of webs may be treated simultaneously, the outer layers being webs recycled from treatment as inner layers.
