Abstract

1464081 Bursting discs R J E PIERENS 27 March 1975 [27 March 1974] 12994/75 Heading F1D A busting disc, Fig. 4, comprises an annular portion 8 and a diaphragm portion 10 made from one piece of metal. As the diaphragm reverses under pressure, the diaphragm portion shears from the annular portion around the region 12. During manufacture blanks are pre-machined, heat-treated and the diaphragm portion is then finished to the required thickness for the particular application.
