Abstract

1355486 Bursting discs MARSTON EXCELSIOR Ltd 30 Nov 1972 [12 June 1972] 27256/72 Heading F1D The bursting disc 7 is held in position solely by axial pressure on an edge region 8, the area of which is such that when the curvature of the disc is reversed by excess pressure the edge region moves radially inwards to release the disc. The disc is engaged between members 9, 10 and a gasket 14. A projection 9a ensures that no axial pressure is applied to the member 10 by the flanges 3, 4 when members 9, 10 are clamped in position. A grid 17 prevents complete escape of the disc 7.
