1464042 Comminuting apparatus DORST KERAMIKMASCHINEN BAU OTTO DORST UND DIPL ING WALTER SCHLEGEL 18 Oct 1974 [19 Oct 1973] 45248/74 Heading B2A An impeller-disc for a comminuting apparatus comprises a hub 1 Fig. 2, a disc 2 an outer peripheral ring 3 of wear-resistant material secured in one embodiment, Fig. I (not shown) by countersunk screws 5, or by a screwed retaining ring 7. Material supplied as a slurry, at A, is comminuted by rotation of the impeller-disc, being hurled therefrom by centrifugal force in known manner. A wearresistant bottom plate 10 is provided in both embodiments. The ring 3 is of curved radial cross-section and may be made of aluminium oxide, aluminium alloy or a metallic carbide.
