Abstract
1463979 Liquid crystal compositions DEFENCE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR 29 Aug 1974 [25 Sept 1973] 44941/73 Heading C4X [Also in Division G2] A nematic liquid crystal composition suitable for use in a "twist" electro-optic display device (see Divisions G2) comprises an equimolar composition of three p-substituted benzylidene p<SP>1</SP>-cyanoanilins, the substituents being butoxy, hexoxy, and heptylcarbonyloxy. The dielectric anisotropy of the composition is positive at low electric field frequencies and negative at high frequencies. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,410,161.
