Abstract

1463232 Telescopic posts; safety barriers DOMINION BRIDGE CO Ltd 12 Feb 1975 6043/75 Headings E1E and E1S In a telescopic post 41, 42 adapted to be jammed between opposed surfaces to support safety fencing, see Fig. 1 (not shown), the locking device consists of a tilting, apertured plate 72 slidably mounted on the member 41 and a bracket 74 mounted on the member 42 which members 72, 42 are interconnected by a pair of pivotal toggle links 55, 56 as shown. The toggle links are actuated by a handle 65 having a catch [73] for holding the locking means in position, see Fig. 3 (not shown). The members 41, 42 are provided with rubber end stops 31, 32.
