Abstract

1462626 Binding elongate members PATON CALVERT & CO Ltd 6 June 1974 [21 July 1973] 34879/73 Headings B8C and B8H An assembly of elongate members 16-19, are arranged in parallel relationship and bound by an endless band 15 with a locking member 20 lying within the assembly in a bight of the band to tension the band. The band may be arranged loosely around the members 16-19 with the member 20 then being inserted with the bight above or beneath the member. Alternatively the assembly may be banded after insertion of the locking member 20. A plurality of assemblies may be laid on top of one another to form a stack with at least the top assembly having a locking member arranged in a bight of its band 15. The stack may be banded by bands 23, 24 passing through tubes 21, 22 on which the stack rests.
