Abstract

1460323 Desks STEELCASE Inc 21 Oct 1974 45514/74 Heading A4H A desk top 10, Fig. 4, is supported by end panels 12, Fig. 2, 7, in either one of three horizontal positions or in a forwardly downwardly sloping position, such that in all positions the rear upper edge and corners of the top 10 do not project beyond or above the boundary of panels 12 at the rear upper regions thereof. Each panel 12 has two holes 52 and a rear aperture 161 that receives an insert 170, Fig. 7 having an eccentric hole 171 that can be located in either one of two positions. In the second position as shown in Fig. 7, hole 171 has been lowered with respect to the first position Fig. 6 (not shown) to support the top 10 which is sloping. Screws (152) co-operate with apertures 151 in brackets 150 secured to top 10 and with holes 52, 171 in panels 12. The screws (152) are concealed by a cover (20), Figs. 9 and 10, (not shown) releasibly secured to panel 12 as in Specification 1460321. Specification 1460324 is also referred to.
