Abstract

1460247 Blowing parisons DUROBOR SA 23 May 1975 [20 June 1974] 22672/75 Heading C1M An apparatus for forming parisons comprises a blowing-pipe mounted to rotate with a turntable and a mould which is driven along such a path that when the pipe rotates with the turntable the mould is raised to engage with it, the pipe-parison-mould assembly moves together for long enough to allow setting of the glass and means are provided to allow or cause the mould to be lowered away leaving the parison carried by the blowing pipe. In Fig. 1 the turntable 13 carries pairs of blowing-pipes 14, the endless chain 1 carries pairs of mould holders 3 which are raised by the guide track 5 to bring the moulds 4 into engagement with the blowing pipes and then lowered away therefrom. The gob feeders 6, 7, 8 are of a conventional design. The mould and plunger construction is seen in Fig. 2 (not shown).
