Abstract

1460243 Support structures EMTROL CORP 5 May 1975 [3 May 1974] 18743/75 Addition to 1460242 Heading F4B [Also in Divisions B1 B2 and F2] The support system disclosed in the Specification 1,460,242 of even date is modified in that the free end 26 of the horizontal support beam 22, from which multistage cyclone separators are suspended within a vessel 50, is connected to the surrounding vessel 50 by means of a pivotal connection in the form of a link 124. The angle α the link 124 makes with the vertical is calculated from predicted vertical and horizontal expansions of the beam, link and surrounding vessel 50, and is designed to maintain the beam horizontal under temperature changes normally encountered within the vessel.
