Abstract

1460237 Shearing RIZHSKY MOTOZAVOD SARKANA ZVAIGZNE 16 July 1975 29847/75 Heading B3W Apparatus for cutting cylindrical stock into predetermined lengths comprises rollers 13, 14 driven by a hydraulic motor 16 for feeding stock 38 against a gauging stop 21 movable by a hydraulic cylinder 23 between the operative position shown and an inoperative position and wheel cutters 3 mounted on a rotatable faceplate 7 and moved to cut the stock by singleacting hydraulic cylinders 11. A hydraulically actuated clamp 17 is provided. A hydraulic circuit of the apparatus includes a valve 25 which selectively connects to a fluid source either a line 31 supplying fluid firstly to the chamber 29 of the clamping cylinder 20, then the chamber 30 of the gauging stop cylinder 23 and finally the cylinders 11 for a cutting stroke or a line 36 supplying fluid to the hydraulic feed motor 16, the chamber 34 of the clamping cylinder 20 and the chamber 35 of the gauging stop cylinder 23 for a feed stroke. The cutters 3 move outwardly by centrifugal forces generated by rotation of the faceplate 7. Engagement of the stock with the spring-loaded stop 21 actuates a limit switch to move the slide of valve 25 to the cutting position. Actuation of a limit switch (40), Fig. 2 (not shown) by one of the cylinders 11 moves the valve slide to the feeding position.
