Abstract

1458171 Toothed gearing DAIMLER-BENZ AG 10 Feb 1975 [15 Feb 1974] 5593/75 Heading F2Q A toothed wheel 10 consists of a toothed member 11 for transmitting torque and a toothed member 12, mounted on a hub portion 13 of member 11, for taking up back-lash the members 11, 12 having helical teeth and encapsulating a disc spring 18 located between them. The member 12 is mounted on the hub 13 by means of teeth 14 of sinusoidal profile. The spring 18 is engaged by annular beads 16, 19 on the members 12, 11. Alternatively the beads are provided on the spring disc 18. In a modification, the members have spur teeth and the member 12 is mounted on the hub 13 by means of a helical groove guide. In a further modification, a member 12 is centred on a hub 13 by cylindrical surfaces 21, Fig. 2, and pins 22 prevent relative rotation between the members 11, 12.
