Abstract

1457984 Masterbatch techniques MITSUBISHI CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 28 Jan 1975 [30 Jan 1974] 3687/75 Heading C3P A mixture of 100 parts by weight of a liquid rubber and 60-150 parts by weight of carbon black is made and then diluted with further liquid rubber. By this choice of amounts the black is well dispersed. If in the course of the mixing the viscosity of the mixture threatens to overload the machine it can be given a preliminary dilution. Liquid rubber is defined as being a polymer of a type which would otherwise be rubbery but having a low molecular weight so that its rubbery properties are only developed on curing.
