Abstract

1457779 Two-part couplings ITT INDUSTRIES Inc 28 Feb 1974 [28 Feb 1973] 9110/74 Heading H2E A connector for connecting the pins 16 of a dual-in-line package to a printed circuit board 14 comprises two rows of contacts 30 e.g. of phosphor bronze interference fitted in plated through holes 18 and a housing 20 having ledges 76, 78 which snap past the ends of the contacts to retain the housing and preload the contacts. Each row of contacts is stamped from a sheet and may have a removable carrier strip to permit insertion in the board of the whole row at once.
