Abstract

1457617 Lift cage and shaft door control LINDEN-ALIMAK AB 11 March 1974 [9 March 1973] 10672/74 Heading B8L Closed elevator doors 7, 8, 6 at holding floors 4, 5 and on cage 1 are mechanically locked and unlocked by a locking mechanism 9, 10, 11 located at the door and including a locking bolt movable to a locking position by a spring and movable against the spring into an unlocking position by an electro-magnetic coil actuated by an electric circuit. The coil is arranged to be actuated by lock actuators 12, 13 associated with each door and operated by a lock actuation device 14 carried on the cage, when the cage is stopped at a holding floor. Movement of the locking bolt from its door locking position causes a break in an electric circuit controlling movement of the cage, whereby the cage cannot be moved unless the door bolt is fully locked, and also the bolt cannot be fully locked unless the door is fully closed. The lock actuator device 14 comprises an electro-magnet which upon energization at a holding floor influences magnetic switches associated with the lock actuators on the cage and at that holding floor, causing energization of the locking bolt withdrawal magnetic coils and associated interrupting of the cage drive circuit. In further embodiments, Figs. 5, 6 (not shown) the door lock actuators 12, 13 may be energized due to mechanical switches actuated directly by a movable actuator on the cage, or due to magnetic switches activated by a permanent magnet movable on the cage between effective and ineffective positions. In the embodiment of Fig. 7 (not shown) the lock actuator device 14 of the first embodiment causes the removal of a ferromagnetic disc from between a permanent magnet and a magnetic switch of the door lock actuators. In a final embodiment, the door look actuator includes a light activated switch for association with a light source on the cage.
