1457513 Rotary cutters DOSCO OVERSEAS ENG Ltd 9 April 1974 [9 April 1973] 16888/73 Heading E1F A rotary cutting head for a mining tool comprises a body 100 adapted for connection to a cutting boom, and having a leading end 104 which is adapted to carry sumping picks 106, the part of the body adjacent the leading end being curved inwardly towards the leading end, and a plurality of tool holders 1 mounted on the body in one or more lines so that successive picks in the or each line, when mounted in the tool holders, create a break-out clearance for the following picks in the line. The tool holders are preferably randomly arranged along two substantially helical lines.
