1457453 Stabilizer compositions ALBRIGHT & WILSON Ltd 29 Nov 1973 [29 Nov 1972 16 Jan 1973] 55207/73 and 2274/73 Divided out of 1456368 Heading C3P A stabilizer mixture for halogen containing polymers comprises a terpene alcohol having a primary or secondary allylic alcohol group and an organo-tin mercapto carboxylate ester of formula where tin is bonded to the sulphur or oxygen of the mercapto carboxylate group, R and R<SP>1</SP> are C 1-10 alkyl, cyclohexyl or phenyl, R<SP>11</SP> and R<SP>111</SP> are organo groups containing C, H and optionally O and/or S and x and y are 1 to 20. A monoalkyltin tris mercapto glycollate ester of a C 1-20 alkanol may also be added to polymer compositions containing this stabilizer mixture. In examples polyvinyl chloride is stabilized with mixtures wherein the alcohol is selected from patchenol, #-ionol, hydroxymethyl longifolene, nerol, geraniol, prenol, 6-methyl-hept-3-en-2-ol, pinocarveol, myrtenol, and verbenol, and the tin mercapto carboxylate ester is chosen from a mixture of dibutyltin bis(isooctyl thioglycollate) and butyl tin tris(isooctyl thioglycollate) optionally with butyl epoxy stearate, a mixture of dioctyltin bis(isooctyl thioglycollate) and octyl tin tris(isooctyl thioglycollate) optionally with butyl epoxystearate or compounds of the formula
