Abstract

1457047 Rotary positive-displacement fluidmachines FLUX-GERATE GmbH 9 Aug 1974 [11 Aug 1973] 35152/74 Heading F1F A mono-type pump, Fig. 1, has a drive-shaft 7 with two flexible portions 8, 9, formed of a plurality of layers of helically wound steel wire. Alternate layers are of opposite bond and the thickness of the wires increases in each layer from the centre outwards. As described, five layers, 16-20, Fig. 3, are wound four wires at a time over a central strand 25. The ends of the sections of the drive-shaft are connected to each other by sleeves 10, Fig. 2, crimped at 14 and provided with holes 13.
