Abstract

1456605 Copying by scanning RICOH KK 7 May 1974 [8 May 1973] 20003/74 Heading H4F A recording medium 14, Fig. 2, is secured to a rotatable drum by means of a clamp 12 operated by a handle 18; the medium 14 is released from the drum by operation of arm 24 to rotate clamp 12, the recording medium then being guided away from the drum by movable guide members 22; the clamp 12 is formed with cutouts 32, Fig. 4, to prevent interference between the clamp 12 and guide members 22; one edge 32c of each cutout 32 is angled so that, as the drum is rotated in direction A and a recording needle 16 is moved in a direction F (to provide the frame scan), if the recording needle 16 enters cutout 32 it will not be damaged by contact with edge 32c as could occur, due to the movement in direction F, if the cutout 32 were rectangular.
