Abstract

1455355 Inserting coils into stator slots ELECTROMAT VEB 8 March 1974 [19 March 1973] 10387/74 Heading B3A An apparatus for inserting coils 12 into the slots of stators 10 for electrical machines comprises an axially movable coil inserting head 5 having an annulus of radially extending fins 8 provided with pressers 9 for pressing the coils 12 into the slots, an annulus of stationary coil inserting fingers 3 looted between the fins 8 and slot cover inserting means 6 for advancing a slot cover 11 behind each coil presser 9 as the head 5 is axially moved and for inserting it into a stator slot. A mushroom shaped coil inserting head 5 is provided with recesses 7 which define axial fins 8 terminating in integral or removable coil pressers 9. Inserting fingers 3 are positioned in the recesses 7 and are aligned with guide fingers 2. When the coil inserting head 5 is axially moved by a pusher 4, coils 12 which are positioned on the head 5 between the inserting fingers 3 are forced into the slots of the stator 10 by the fins 8 and are pressed into the bottom of the slots by the coil pressers 9. Slot covers 11 are advanced by slide fingers 6 to close the slots of the stator 10.
