Abstract

1454412 Lint filter for tumbler drier PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 1 Nov 1973 50775/73 Heading BIT A lint filter comprises a frame 16 cut away at upper and lower edges (Fig. 6) to allow air to flow downwards therethrough, and a sheet 17 of mesh extending diagonally from top to bottom. The frame is trapezoidal in outline and may be reinforced by a cross strut (Fig. 3, not shown). The sheet 17 can be moulded as part of the frame or a separate sheet moulded into the plasics frame. Fig. 2 (not shown) illustrates how the filter (13) is located between the front door and drum of a tumbler drier to filter the air leaving the drum. Finger grips 18 enable the filter to be withdrawn for cleaning. Sheet 17 may be polyester and frame 16 may be glassfilled nylon.
