Abstract

1453928 Two-part couplings; fuses EDWARD WILCOX & CO Ltd 1 Nov 1973 [3 Aug 1972] 36274/72 Headings H2E and H2G A fuse assembly comprises a carrier 11 and a base 22, the carrier having contacts 12, 13 each with a respective projection 14 and the base having L-shaped slots 15, 16 and a contact 23 for each pair of slots. Recesses (21, Fig. 2) are formed below each contact from each slot 15, 16. The carrier is inserted into the base such that the projections travel down the L-shaped slots and are then slid parallel to the base of the contacts 23 to engage in the recesses (21) to be locked against direct removal. The projections 14 are formed by folding over the contacts or by welding separate elements thereto. The projections and slots may be arranged to permit insertion only from a correct orientation.
