1453122 Shaft seals ITT INDUSTRIES Inc 3 Jan 1974 [5 Jan 1973] 00310/74 Heading F2B Metal particles, not removed by magnetic traps, are prevented by filter screen 8 from reaching an elastomeric lip seal 2. A seal 10 and a garter spring 5 are provided. The assembly may be mounted as a gasket between the carrier of a motor vehicle differential and a central element keyed to a rotatable shaft.
