Abstract

1453072 Filter band dispenser OZONAIR ENG CO Ltd 4 Oct 1974 [5 Oct 1973] 46589/73 Heading BIT [Also in Division B8] A disposable carton of polygonal crosssection encloses a roll of filter material which is to be progressively fed across a filter casing, through which air passes, to a take-up roll. As shown the carton is octagonal in section, one side 4 being secured to half side 6 during storage but folded back in use to provide an axial slot from which the material is unwound. The carton fits between roof 10 and vertical flanges 8, 9 extending from casing side walls 7, being retained in place by arms 11, one of which is pivoted at end 12 and has a releasable fastening 13 to enable the carton to be pushed and locked into position. The carton is made from a single length of corrugated cardboard ply folded transversely and stapled to two octagonal dished ends of the same material. The roll is inserted before fitting the second end (Fig. 1, not shown).
