1452933 Magnetic bubble stores MONSANTO CO 29 Nov 1973 [1 Dec 1972] 52322/75 Divided out of 1,452,931 Heading G4C [Also in Division H3] A magnetic bubble serial shift register comprises a number of closed loop bubble paths 16, each loop being coupled to the succeeding loop by a respective bubble transfer path 18. A conductor 20 has a loop 20a adjacent to the entrance to each transfer path so that, when a shift signal is applied to the conductor, bubbles circulating in the closed loops are transferred simultaneously from each loop to the next via the transfer paths. As disclosed each closed loop may contain a 16-bit word and the length of each transfer path is equivalent to the length of one word.
