Abstract

1452522 Hydroisomerisation catalyst SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ BV 17 Oct 1973 [19 Oct 1972 (3)] 22983/76 Divided out of 1452521 Heading B1E [Also in Division C5] A hydroisomerisation catalyst is formed by (i) physically mixing 10-90% wt. of a zeolite with a channel pore structure, e.g. L-sieve, omega-sieve or mordenite, with 90-10% wt. of a zeolite with a three dimensional porestructure, e.g. zeolites X-, Y-, A- or faujasite, the zeolites being decationised to an alkali metal and/or alkaline earth metal content of less than 0.5% wt. before or after mixing, (ii) incorporating a hydrogenative metal component comprising one or more Group VIII noble metals, and (iii) drying and calcining. The catalyst may contain 0.1- 1.0% wt. of the noble metal based on the mixture of zeolites.
