1452153 Transfer printing compositions JOSEPH DAWSON (HOLDINGS) Ltd 8 Nov 1974 [3 May 1974] 19521/74 Heading D1B Compositions used in transfer printing comprise 30% to 70% by weight of a fumaric or maleic resin or calcium resinate, 12% to 32% of ethyl cellusolve or nitrocellulose mixed with acetophenone of benzophenone mixed with butylphthalate, 4% to 20% of sulphonic or citric acid and/or potassium hydrogen sulphate, dissolved or dispersed in a solvent as defined the remainder being a dyestuff or mothproofing shrink-resisting, softening, water repellant, flat setting or anti-static agent. The solvent may be water and/or aliphatic and aromatic alcohols, cyclic ketones, ethers and esters from the alcohols, toluene and xylene. The compositions may be applied to paper at 50 gms per square metre.
