Abstract

1451757 Sieves SHUM YIP LEONG RUBBER WORKS 1 Oct 1973 [21 Nov 1972] 53728/72 Heading B2H A sieve 1 comprises a sheet of resilient rubber 2 bonded to a more rigid rubber support plate 3 and a multiplicity of apertures 5 in the sieve 1, the minimum width of each aperture 5 where it extends through the resilient sheet 2 being less than the minimum width where it extends through the support plate 3. The apertures 5 may be conical or stepped. Hardness figures are mentioned for the rubber. An embodiment, Fig. 3 (not shown) illustrates the sieve used on apparatus for the wet separation of metallic ores from sludge.
