Abstract

1451307 Homogenizing powders LUCOTECHNIC AG 19 June 1975 26064/75 Heading BIC Apparatus for mixing granular and powdered material by means of both pressure gas and a mechanical agitator, and optionally moistening it, comprises a container 1 having in the base thereof a rotatable agitator 13 with blades 13d of shape providing thereunder a space 15 to which air may be supplied through inlet 8, tube 5, apertures 7, an air-permeable sintered metal sleeve 12 and apertures 13e. The gas issues through the gap 16 along the whole length of the blades. As shown the blades are of inverted V section with unequal sides, the longer side leading, but the section may be an isoceles triangle or a semi-circle. Moistening liquid may be injected by compjressed air through nozzles (23, Fig. 1 not shown). The container may have a solids inlet shoot (17) with closure (18), air vent (21) with filters (22), and a discharge door 14. The apparatus may be used for moistening a detergent with an aromatic additive.
