Abstract

1450405 Watches SOC SUISSE POUR L'INDUSTRIE HORLOGERE MANAGEMENT SERVICES SA 6 Sept 1974 [24 Sept 1973] 44582/73 Heading G3T In a calendar watch having a single date disc with digits which are visible through a dial window, the digits are interlaced so that each two digits (or blank space and digit) corresponding to a date in the month are separated by portions of the digits of the adjacent dates, and the window is divided into two portions 1, 2 with a separation 3 to hide the unwanted digit portions. In this way bigger digits can be accommodated on the same size disc. A mathematical analysis is given for maximizing the digit size, and various spacings between the window portions may be used. The window may be in any quadrant of the dial.
