1449580 Descaling and planishing strip BWG BERGWERK-UND WALZWERKMASCHINENBAU GmbH 2 Oct 1974 [8 Oct 1973] 42828/74 Headings B3E B3A and B3M Metal strip is subjected to alternating bending at a first degree of stretch corresponding to optimum descaling, e.g. between 0.5% and 1À3% and is then planished by alternating bending at a higher degree of stretch, e.g. 2% to 3%. This is done on the apparatus of Fig. 1, comprising three driven bridle roll stands 2 with interposed alternating bending units 4.
