Abstract

1449330 Electrically-propelled vehicles O & K ORENSTEIN & KOPPEL AG 22 Feb 1974 [23 Feb 1973] 8172/74 Heading B7H [Also in Division H2] A fork-lift truck has a removably-mounted pulse control device 9 for controlling the flow of current from a battery 8 to an electric drive motor 1, the control device 9 being electrically connected to the battery and motor through a plug-and-socket assembly 7. As illustrated, the plug-and-socket assembly 7 comprises socket pins 13 mounted in a housing 10 fixed to the truck frame 12 by screws 11, and further comprises plug pins 17 mounted in a plate 20 detachably fixed to the truck frame 12 by screws 21. Frusto-conical surfaces 14 of the socket pins are urged by springs 15 into contact with mating surfaces 16 of the plug pins.
