Abstract

1449223 Marine fenders MANNESMANNROHREN-WERKE AG 20 Sept 1973 [22 Sept 1972] 44270/73 Heading B7S [Also in Division F2] A fender for ship moorings comprises a fender element 12 pivotably mounted by a universal joint 10, 14 on a bulwark or dolphin 8 so as to be movable about axes parallel to its abutment surface. The fender element has a soft, elastic lining 18, and is horizontally located by rollers 28, 30 in guides 24, 26, and vertically located by rings 32 of elastic material.
