Abstract

1448945 Rotary lawn mower HUSQVARNA AB 11 June 1974 [19 June 1973] 25748/74 Heading A1F A rotary lawn mower comprises a side outlet 23 in a rotor housing 3 whose height increases progressively around a cutting blade rotor 7, the outlet having a lower edge portion 26 which extends upwardly and forwardly of a wheel supported chassis and having two pivotable doors 24, 25. A cover plate 27 locks the doors 24, 25 into their closed positions at which time, in use, a rear flap can be opened to fit a grass collecting box (Fig. 1 not shown). With the doors 24, 25 open to their fullest extent they allow grass and air to escape but prevent stones hit by the rotor 7 being thrown from the machine.
