1448895 Azetobenzodiazepines DDSA PHARMACEUTICALS Ltd 12 May 1975 [14 May 1974] 11731/76 Heading C2C Compounds of the general formula (R 1 = H, halogen, CF 3 , CN, NO 2 , C 1-10 alkyl, alkoxy or alkylthio; R 2 = C 1-10 alkyl, benzyl; R 3 = C 1-10 alkyl; R 4 = phenyl, (C 1-10 alkyl)- phenyl, nitrophenyl, halophenyl, puridyl) and their acid addition salts, are prepared by treating a compound of the formula with a base, optionally followed by salt formation. These compounds are tranquilizers, sedatives and hypnotics, and may be administered in the form of pharmaceutical preparations containing them in association with a carrier.
