Abstract

1448674 Component assemblies; pick-up tubes ENGLISH ELECTRIC VALVE CO Ltd 15 Nov 1973 [21 Dec 1972] 59135/72 Headings H1D and H1R Encapsulating material applied at least in part around an electrical component body by moulding or the like has incoporated therein in the vicinity of the component a coil of nylon thread, so that by pulling on the thread the encapsulant may be sheared to permit removal of the component. Where more than one cornponent is mounted in a single encapsulated assembly, separate thread coils may be associated with each component. As shown, a television camera tube 1 with deflection coil 2 is mounted within metal casing 3 otherwise filled with encapsulant. Separate nylon threads 5, 6, 7 are wound round the component parts.
