Abstract

1448603 Vehicle wheels DUNEMER SOC A RESPONSABILITE LIMITEE 14 Feb 1974 [28 Feb 1973] 6845/74 Heading B7C [Also in Division A6] A pneumatic wheel comprises a flexible inflatable part 1 and a hub part including a tube 2 and plugs 3, the tube 2 being disposed in a central passage of the inflatable part and being solely in frictional engagement with the central passage, the ends of the tube 2 each being expanded to a frusto-conical shape by a plug 3 so that the tube 2 is prevented from sliding out of the central passage. The plugs 3 have holes for receiving an axle. The plugs may be formed of plastics and the axle of stainless steel. In a modified form, the plugs are integral with the axle. Wheels according to the invention are stated to be suitable for use on children's toys, go-carts, perambulators, and wheelbarrows, and to be suitable for use on soft or hard ground.
