1448162 Ferroelectric compositions MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 20 May 1974 [18 May 1973] 22335/74 Heading C1J [Also in Division H1] A ferroelectric ceramic composition comprises a solid solution represented by: where the ranges of x, y, z are: 0À01#x#0À25; 0#y#0À75; 0#z#0À875; x+y+z=1; and further containing cobalt equivalent to 0À1 to 3% by weight of CoO. The Specification gives a list of examples and specifies the more desirable compositions. These have high mechanical Q and good temperature stability. A method of manufacture is described in which the milled oxides are calcined at 850‹ C., wet-milled, slip-cast, sintered and machined to form discs 1 mm. thick which are electroded and polarized by application of 4 KV/mm. at 100‹ C.
