1447484 Fortune-telling C CANASTA 4 Sept 1973 [28 June 1972] 30324/72 Heading A6H A device for providing horoscopes comprises at least two rollers 1 located in a housing 2 each behind a window or opening 6 and at least one dial (30) for indicating how the rollers are to be rotated, their rotation serving to present different sets of words in the windows or openings. Six hexagonal or octagonal rollers 1 are each rotated by a knob 15, being positioned by a clicker spring. The windows are normally closed by a shutter slide which can be moved upwardly by a projection 23 to bring openings in the slide into register with the windows 1. Two rotatable transparent dials (30), 31 are provided. The upper one carries a circular array of symbols corresponding to symbols on the faces of the rollers visible one-at-atime through apertures 34. The lower dial carries an arrow 37. Below the dials is a plate 29 bearing the numbers 1 to 32. In use, the dial 30 is rotated by a knurled edge 32 until either a red dot or a yellow dot thereon comes into register with an aperture 36. The dial 31 is then turned until the arrow 37 points to the day of the user's birth. The top-most roller 1 is then turned until its visible symbol 34 corresponds to the symbol adjacent the day's number. The other rollers are adjusted using the birth month and so on. The shutter is then opened to disclose the horoscope. In a modification, the shutter is external of the casing.
