Abstract

The mechanism has four cylinders (2) mounted on parallel axes (3) in a case (1). The cylinders may be rotated by manual adjusting knobs (4) located on either side of the case (1) and their movement is controlled by pawls (5). Coloured lozenges (6) are printed on the surfaces of the four cylinders (2) such that in successive positions controlled by the pawls (5) either one or two of them on each cylinder appear in windows (7) in the casing (1) to form overall Geomancy signs.
