Abstract
1446695 Pesticidal aryl phosphorothiolates CIBA-GEIGY AG 2 April 1974 [3 April 1973 5 March 1974] 14618/74 Heading C2P Novel compounds of Formula I where R 1 is CH 3 or C 2 H 5 , R 2 is n-C 3 H 7 , i-C 3 H 7 , i-C 4 H 9 or sec.-C 4 H 9 , R 3 is NO 2 , CN, allyl or CH 3 S-, R 4 is H, Cl, Br, CH 3 or NO 2 and each of R 5 , R 6 and R 7 is Cl, Br or CH 3 , may be prepared (a) by reacting a compound of Formula II with a compound of Formula III in the form of an alkali metal, ammonium or alkylammonium salt or in the presence of an acid-binding agent, (b) by reacting a compound of Formula V with a compound of Formula III in the presence of an acid-binding agent and reacting the product with a compound HSR 2 in the presence of an acid-binding agent or (c) by reacting a compound of Formula VIII with a compound MeSH where Me is alkali metal, ammonium or alkylammonium and reacting the phosphorothiolate salt formed with a compound R 2 Hal. The compounds of Formula I have insecticidal and acaricidal properties and may be used as the active ingredients in conventional pesticidal compositions, optionally together with other active ingredients.
