Abstract

1446208 Diaper COLGATE PALMOLIVE CO 15 Aug 1973 38631/73 Heading A3V A diaper has at least one pressure-sensitive tape folded over, around, or close to, the diaper edge so that one portion overlies the inside of the diaper, part of that portion extending from the fold, being attached to the material below it. A release sheet is provided below the remainder of the portion. In the embodiment shown the tape is folded over the edge 6a of the diaper and secured to the outside surface. It is also secured at 20a adjacent the edge on the inside surface. A sheet of material 18a is attached to the tab and is easily releasable to expose the adhesive. Release may be assisted by an additional strip 32, folding the inside edge of the sheet, or projecting its free end beyond the end of the tab. Alternatively the sheet may be firmly attached to the diaper. In a further embodiment (Fig. 9, not shown) the tape may be folded back on itself and secured to the inside of the diaper.
