144,591. Moberg, C. A. April 8, 1920. Capillary-action lubricators.-In a lubricator for the axles of railway-carriages, locomotives &c. having a pad of absorbent material pressed against the under-side of the axle by a spring, the pad is exchangeably fastened to a tray 3 by strips 6, 9 of U-section, which are pressed down over the longitudinal edges of the tray and over transverse down-turned flanges 8 on the ends of the tray after the pad has been folded over the edges. Wire fastening-devices 12 may be used to lock the strips in position. Blocks 10 of wood, ebony, fibre, or the like are secured to the ends of the strips 6 and project beyond the ends of the tray 3 to prevent the tray from coming into contact with the axle 1.
